My Teaching Method
As a passionate swim instructor specializing in aquatic safety for babies, toddlers and young children, my approach is rooted in making swimming both fun and safe.
My unique teaching method, known as the “Roll over Method” emphasizes water safety and equips young learners with crucial life skills. This foundational technique starts with teaching children how to roll over in the water, ensuring they can stay safe and oriented. By mastering this skill, students develop confidence and awareness, which are essential for any water activity.
Once they’ve mastered rolling over, I introduce the concept of swimming using their “Rainbow Big Arms.” This playful and engaging technique encourages children to use their arms boldly and effectively, promoting proper swim form.
One of the hallmarks of my instruction is that I do not use kickboards or floating devices. Instead, I empower children to learn to swim using their own strength and capabilities. This revolutionary approach fosters independence and helps my students build a strong foundation for swimming, applicable to any age group, from toddlers to teens.
